My thoughts on the Winter Jam
Booking something like Winter Jam reminded me of my first forays into booking when bills would often get over the usual 5-6 bands. I’d have a hard time saying no and things sometimes just got silly into the 8-9 bands thing. But it served a silent purpose that wouldn’t be realized til later. Last year I checked out well over 150 bands. Half of which I had zero idea existed or never listened to before.
Bands like Xibalba first came across my radar because of it.
