7 months til This Is hardcore Fest
I am excited that we’re almost around the corner.
Its funny I used to start getting things in order about xmas time for a new festival year.
3 years back I stopped taking time off between fests and kept the ball rolling 12 months and it has made a huge difference.
This Is Hardcore Fest 2012
August 9-12th
Philadelphia, PA
This is a BIG week for me and stuff that will ultimately make this year and others to come something else then what its ever been.
I can’t say I’m not nervous because for the first time in 6 years I’ve put work into moving the fest. I don’t know if its the move we’ll make but after so many quick sell out years in a row, we have to at least check our options and see what the scenario would look like down the street.
There are A LOT of factors and pros and cons to stay/go and I don’t know what the move will do to us in 3 or 4 years down the line.
I’m trying to keep this festival going in the right direction without feeling like we’re missing the mark here. I’ve turned down more pop punk “hype” bands and buzz “metalcore” bands getting praised in all the right online mags over the years.
I’ll never drift from what This Is Hardcore is to everyone and thats what I’ve always intended.
I’ve got alot planned for the 2012 This Is Hardcore, regardless where its held.
We’ll be putting up OVERSEAS ONLINE RESERVATIONS this week to help our far travelling friends from down under and across the seven seas make sure they’ll get a chance to purchase tickets.
Our photobook is coming together nicely and we’ll be starting our kickstarter campaign to get it printed and hopefully shipped to you just in time for tickets to go on sale for TIH 2012.
We’ve done this thing for 6 years and we’ve had some of the baddest photographers in the game there to capture so many cool moments that we’ve felt a Photobook to summarize the last 6 festivals would just be a badass thing to have and to share with everyone.
As with all Kickstarter campaigns, we’ll have limited goodies including shirts, posters, limited screenprints, limited rare photo prints that don’t make it into the book and a few other fest related surprised for those that “back us” so to speak.
If everything is in working order the books and stuff will all ship just in time for the big ticket announcement which will be Thursday May 17th.
